     This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Marlyn J. Gorman who was born in Peoria, Illinois on September 2, 1929 and passed away on May 12, 2008. She will live forever in our memories and hearts.

     Marlyn J. Gorman, 78, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 1:25 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, at Fondulac Woods Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in East Peoria.

     Marlyn was born on September 2, 1929 in Peoria, a daughter of Frank and Minnie (Vaughn) Peplow. They preceded her in death, along with five brothers and sisters and one great granddaughter, Gabrielle Gorman.

     She is survived by her son, Donald R. (Cynthia) Gorman of Peoria Heights; two grandsons, Corey L. (Kim) Gorman of Peoria and Tyler J. (Gina) Gorman of Peoria Heights; and one great granddaughter, Madison Gorman at home.

     She retired from the cafeteria at Wabco/Kamatsu Dresser in Peoria, after 17 years of service. After her retirement, she was employed with Professional Maintenance Inc. in Peoria.

     Marlyn was a former member of First English Lutheran Church in Peoria. She was also a former member of the Kelly Avenue Elementary School Mother’s Club in Peoria Heights and volunteered in their cafeteria.

     Private family services will be held, with Pastor Steven Mall officiating. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the Peoria Heights Ambulance Service or to the Peoria Heights District 325 Scholarship Fund.

     Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home in Peoria.
